This policy applies to the Cabana browser extension, the Cabana website at usecabana.com, and the accounts that connect them.

When the extension is turned on, it helps protect you as you browse — checking the sites you visit against our safety service and warning you before you land on something dangerous, like a scam or phishing page. To do that well, Cabana needs to see where you're going on the web.

We keep this to what we need to protect you and run the service:

• Account information — the email address you sign in with, and your name if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple. We use this to create and secure your account and to send you sign-in codes.
• Browsing activity used for protection — the web addresses of pages you visit while the extension is active, so we can check them for safety. We keep a record of these checks tied to your account to power your protection and to investigate and improve how well it works.
• Basic usage and technical information — limited information about how the service is performing so we can keep it reliable and improve its quality.

• To protect you — checking sites for danger and warning you in time.
• To operate and improve the service — keeping Cabana working reliably and making our safety checks more accurate over time.
• To communicate with you — such as sending sign-in codes and important account or service notices.

We do not use your browsing activity to build advertising profiles or to target you with ads.

This is a promise, not a footnote. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only with the trusted service providers who help us operate Cabana — and only as needed to run the service, under obligations to keep it confidential and secure. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard your information and limit access to it. We keep information only for as long as it's needed to provide and improve the service, then dispose of it responsibly.

You're in control. You can turn off or remove the extension at any time, which stops new browsing activity from being checked. You can also ask us to access or delete your account information by contacting us at the address below.

Cabana is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
