You control your data. Every Cabana feature is opt-in, you may access or delete your personal information at any time, and we do not sell your personal information to any third party.

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes how General Welfare Systems, Inc. ("Cabana," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with our products, applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Scope of this Policy

This Policy applies to the Services and to the accounts used to access them. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

Information we collect

We collect only the personal information necessary to provide the features you have enabled, and we do not collect information associated with features you do not use. Depending on the features you enable, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Account and contact informationyour name and email address and, where a feature requires it, your telephone number and postal address. You may elect to authenticate using Google or Apple. We use this information to create and secure your account, deliver authentication codes, and provide the features you enable.
  • Support communicationswhen you contact us or use our support features, the messages and information you share during those conversations, including chats handled by our automated (AI) assistant and by our human support team. These conversations may be recorded or retained so that we can respond to you, resolve your issue, and improve the quality of our support.
  • Diagnostics and usage informationcrash, performance, and product-interaction data used to maintain the reliability and quality of the Services.

For Cabana's safe-browsing features, we do not retain a record of your full browsing activity. We only keep a record when something you visit matches a known threat in our database, so we can protect you and improve the accuracy of our protection. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.

How we use personal information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide the Servicesoperating the features you enable, including safe-browsing protection and breach and identity monitoring.
  • To maintain and improve the Servicesensuring the reliability of the Services and improving the accuracy of our protective features.
  • To communicate with youdelivering authentication codes and sending account- and service-related notices.
  • To provide supportresponding to your questions and resolving issues through our automated (AI) assistant and human support team, and using support conversations to improve our support and the Services.

We do not use personal information to create advertising profiles or to deliver targeted advertising. We do not store a complete browsing history from the browser extension or iOS web filter; non-matching safe-browsing checks remain local, and Cabana stores only flagged-site events needed to operate and improve the protection.

How we disclose personal information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party, and we do not share it for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose personal information only to service providers that perform functions on our behalf, and only to the extent necessary to provide the Services, subject to contractual obligations of confidentiality and security. We may also disclose personal information where required by applicable law, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users, the public, or Cabana.

Your choices and controls

Each feature of the Services is optional and may be enabled or disabled at any time, including by removing the browser extension or turning off the iOS web filter. You may request access to or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, and we will honor such rights as required by applicable law.

Data retention and security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, and we limit access to it. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which we dispose of it in accordance with our retention practices.

Children's privacy

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date set forth above. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of a revised Policy constitutes acceptance of that revised Policy.
