You control your data. Every Cabana feature is opt-in, you may access or delete your personal information at any time, and we do not sell your personal information to any third party.
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes how General Welfare Systems, Inc. ("Cabana," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with our products, applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
This Policy applies to the Services and to the accounts used to access them. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
We collect only the personal information necessary to provide the features you have enabled, and we do not collect information associated with features you do not use. Depending on the features you enable, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
For Cabana's safe-browsing features, we do not retain a record of your full browsing activity. We only keep a record when something you visit matches a known threat in our database, so we can protect you and improve the accuracy of our protection. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.
We use personal information for the following purposes:
We do not use personal information to create advertising profiles or to deliver targeted advertising. We do not store a complete browsing history from the browser extension or iOS web filter; non-matching safe-browsing checks remain local, and Cabana stores only flagged-site events needed to operate and improve the protection.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party, and we do not share it for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose personal information only to service providers that perform functions on our behalf, and only to the extent necessary to provide the Services, subject to contractual obligations of confidentiality and security. We may also disclose personal information where required by applicable law, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users, the public, or Cabana.
Each feature of the Services is optional and may be enabled or disabled at any time, including by removing the browser extension or turning off the iOS web filter. You may request access to or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, and we will honor such rights as required by applicable law.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, and we limit access to it. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes, after which we dispose of it in accordance with our retention practices.
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date set forth above. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of a revised Policy constitutes acceptance of that revised Policy.
